8 Ways To Get Back Into Your Groove After A Break From Work

Wednesday Wisdom is back! I had a fantastic break, and while I enjoyed time with loved ones, diving back into grind mode has my head spinning. To say this week has already been intense would be an understatement. I’ve developed a few techniques to get back into my groove that I wanted to share with you.

Here are eight ways to get back into your groove after a break from work:

  1. Plan Ahead: Brain dump your tasks and prioritize them making sure to schedule time to tackle each task.

  2. Prepare Your Workspace: Clear clutter, tidy up, and create an inviting workspace for increased productivity.

  3. Expect a Messy Re-entry: Acknowledge that returning to work may not go as planned. Let go of what you can't control and focus on doing your best.

  4. Reinstate Routines: Jump back into work and life routines that keep you organized and on track. (And go exercise!)

  5. Gradually Return to A Rigorous Schedule: Avoid overwhelming yourself with a packed schedule out of the gate. Allow a few days [or weeks] to catch up and ease back into your routine.

  6. Create Manageable To-Do Lists: Keep your to-do list manageable with no more than THREE main tasks per day.

  7. Take Breaks: Schedule regular breaks to boost productivity and maintain focus throughout the day.

  8. Start Early: Start your day EARLY to seize control and set a productive tone. Yes, set that alarm and WAKE YO BUTT UP!!

Remember, getting back into the groove takes time, so be patient with yourself as you readjust.

Here's to a productive return!
